The OAC members met at the OCI headquarters last night and were given a progress report on London 2012 following the recent visit to LOCOG by Stephen Martin, Sonia O'Sullivan and Martin Burke. -
International Shooting Academy success for Kilty
ICPSA High Performance Programme Director Kevin Kilty has just completed a two year course with the International Shooting Academy ("ISA") and has been awarded a Bachelor of Shooting degree from the Academy and CONI the Italian Olympic Committee. -
High Performance Coaching Clinic
The High Performance Programme hosted a very successful two day coaching clinic for Olympic Trap shooters where Ireland HPP OT coach Joe Neville and the programme Director Kevin Kilty were on hand to offer advice and guidance. -
Major ISSF appointment for ICPSA's Kilty
In a major development in coach education the ICPSA's High Performance Director and ISSF licenced coach Kevin Kilty has recently been appointed as the new shotgun instructor at the ISSF Training Academy. -
World class performance by Murphy at ISSF World Championships
A 7th place finish for Ireland's Philip Murphy on a score of 122 following a very high scoring competition which saw scores of 124, 123 and 122 make the final. -
ESC European Championships 2009
The 32nd European Shooting Confederation continental Championships took place recently in Osijek, Croatia. -
ISSF World Cup-San Marino 2009
Coming off the back of a recent strong performance in Minsk, a final round score of 24 saw Irelands Derek Burnett finish one target short of a place in what would have been his second consecutive ISSF World Cup Final as today's Olympic Trap competition concluded in San Marino. -
ISSF World Cup-Minsk 2009
Ireland’s Derek Burnett made the final with a convincing qualification performance of 118. During the final itself Burnett scored steadily for a round of 23 and moved up one position in a charged and very competitive finale which was won by Italy’s Giovanni Pellielo. Burnett was unfortunate to miss a shoot off for the bronze medal by a single target and Ireland's Philip Murphy finished just outside the final cut off with an impressive joint 8th on 116.

Due to the current weather conditions the Registered Olympic Trap shoot scheduled for Sunday 27th December AND the charity shoot scheduled for Saturday 26th December have now been cancelled. -

Watson wins Gold!
Following on from her good performance as a member of the Ireland Team at this summers ICTSC Olympic Skeet Home Countries International Tournament, Pip Watson recently made the trip to Holland for the Senior Games. -

AIB Shooting Star winner Hugh McVitty was the High Gun at todays Registered Olympic Skeet shoot with an excellent score of 97 -
Lawless wins Irish Grand Prix-02/08/09
Damien Lawless won the Irish Olympic Skeet Grand Prix at Balheary Gun Club following a shoot off having scored 94 ex 100 as did George Forbes. We would also like to wish the Ireland Olympic Skeet Team every success at next Fridays Home Countries International Tournament. -
Forbes wins Irish Close-26/07/09
Derek Forbes won the Irish Close Olympic Skeet Championships at Balheary with a score of 94 following rounds of 25, 22, 25 and 22. This shoot was the cut-off point for this years Ireland Team which will participate at the Home Countries International Tournament and members will be notified in the coming days and further details and forms are available in the Ireland Teams section. -

Hanna wins at Monaghan-12/12/09
Robbie Hanna won todays ABT Handicap shoot following a shoot off with Enda Clerkin, Jim Blair and Ivor Fannin. Robbie, Warren McCracken and Glenn Ross all won spot prizes by hitting the random white clays and for those who missed these on the day Monaghan CPC will be holding another 50 bird ABT re-entry shoot on Saturday 2nd January on a handicap basis with "A" shooting from scratch, "B" + 1, "C" + 2 and "D" + 3 and again there will be spot prizes for those who shoot any of the random white clays. -

The Ireland Senior Team came second at this years International Clay Target Shooting Council Sporting Home Countries International Tournament in Jersey. Paddy Hartnett was Irelands High Gun and Team Captain Roland Morris claimed the Captains Cup. -

Sean O'Neill won the Tom Murray Memorial Cup at the Irish Open Sportrap Championships at Mill Hill CPSC today with a score of 88. We would like to wish the Ireland Sporting Team every success next weekend at the Home Countries International Tournament in Jersey. -
